Multi-disciplinary Consultancies - Ecological Consultancy Services

QuarryAs much of our work to date has focussed on Schedule 1 category developments within the renewable energy market, ESS Ecology already has a great deal of experience in working  as part of a large multi-disciplinary team.  This has provided us with insight into the process by which other disciplines undertake their own assessment. We readily engage in ongoing dialogue with, for example, other members of the EIA team to ensure that a holistic approach is applied to all aspects of the assessment process.

Our experience in working within a wider team has given ESS Ecology insight into how factors from beyond our own area of expertise can often have an impact upon ecology. Fundamentally, ESS Ecology realises that by discussing issues on a broad scale, measures that are employed can often reach beyond purely ecological solutions to deliver benefits to the wider development.  We carry out protected species surveys, assessments, reporting, mitigation and monitoring.  Our work includes full Ecological Impact Assessment reports (EcIA), following the current guidelines as set out be the Insitute of Ecology and Environmental Management (IEEM), to inform the wider Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process.

As professional consultants with broad in-house experience you will receive a high quality, personal service that is fully tailored to meet your individual needs.  Our breadth of knowledge and experience in working as part of a larger EIA team allows us greater insight into the Environmental Impact Assessment process as a whole.
